This page describes how the site is organised with reference to the processing of the personal data of the users who consult it.

The informative note is supplied only for the LI.CO srl site and not for any other websites that the user may consult through links.
The informative note is also inspired by Recommendation no. 2/2001, adopted on 17 May 2001 by the European authorities for the protection of personal data, when they met in the Group created by art. 29 of directive no. 95/46/EC and subsequent amendments, to identify certain minimum requirements for the collection of personal data on-line, and, in particular, the methods, times and nature of the information that the data controllers must supply to the users when they connect to web pages, irrespective of the purposes of the connection.

THE DATA CONTROLLER
Following consultation of this site, the data of identified or identifiable persons may be processed.

PLACE OF DATA PROCESSING
The processing operations connected with the web services of this site take place at the aforesaid head office of LI.CO srl and are performed only by the technical staff of the Office assigned to processing, or by persons appointed to do occasional maintenance operations.
No detail obtained from the web service is communicated or made known.
The personal data supplied by users who make requests to be sent informative material (bulletins, CD-roms, newsletters, yearly reports, answers to questions, deeds and provisions, etc.) are used only for the purpose of performing the service, and are made know to third parties only in the case where necessary for that purpose.
TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED
Surfing data
During their normal operation, the computer systems and software procedures used for this site acquire some personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
These data are not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but due to their nature, through processing and association with data in the possession of third parties, they could allow the identification of the users.
This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by the users who connect to the site, the addresses in URI format (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used for presenting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the reply given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters concerning the operative system and the computer system environment of the user.
These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and of checking its correct operation; they are deleted immediately after processing. The data might be used to ascertain responsibilities in the event of hypothetical computer crimes affecting the site: apart from this case, at present the data on web contacts do not survive for more than seven days.
Data voluntarily supplied by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mail to the addresses indicated on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary in order to reply to the requests, and of any other personal data contained in the sent mail.
Brief informative specifications will gradually be shown or displayed on the pages of the site assigned to particular services on request.
COOKIES
The site does not acquire any user personal data in this way.
It does not use cookies to transmit information of a personal nature, nor does it use persistent cookies of any kind, that is systems for tracing users.
The use of session cookies (which are not stored permanently in the computer and are erased when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of the session identification (composed of random numbers generated by the server), necessary to allow safe and efficient surfing of the site.
The session cookies used on this site avoid the use of other computer techniques that would be potential threats to the confidentiality of user surfing, and do not allow the acquisition of personal details that could identify the user.
OPTIONAL NATURE OF SUPPLYING DATA
Apart from what has been specified regarding surfing data, the user is free to supply his personal data given on request forms to LI.CO srl or indicated in contacts with the Office to ask to be sent informative material or other communications.
Failure to supply these details might make it impossible to obtain what is requested.
For the sake of completeness it is recalled that in some cases (not concerning the routine management of this site) the Authority may ask for information according to art 157 of leg.d. n. 196/2003 and subsequent amendments, in order to check the processing of personal data. In these cases the reply is obligatory, on pain of administrative sanctions.
PROCESSING METHOD
Personal details are processed with automated instruments for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they have been collected.
Specific safety measures have been observed to prevent the loss of data, illicit or incorrect use, and unauthorised access.
RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTIES
The subjects to whom the personal data refer have the right, at any time, to have confirmation of the existence or otherwise of the same data, and to know their content and origin, check their exactness or ask for them to be integrated or updated, or corrected (art. 7 of leg.d. no. 196/2003" and subsequent amendments).
In accordance with the same article, they are entitled to ask for the data to be deleted, transformed into anonymous form, or to have any data blocked that have been processed contrary to the law, and in any case to object to their processing, for legitimate reasons.
